Linda Lee Dagenhardt Obituary

Linda Lee (Tressler) Dagenhardt, born November 15th 1944 has passed away November 27th 2024. She was 80 years old.

Daughter of the late Charles and Barbara (Arms) Tressler, Linda is survived by her children, Norman Dagenhardt and Christina (Newberry) Acker and son- in law Bradley Acker. Also survived by her sister Tamara Tressler and many dearly loved family members and friends.

Born into Milford’s pioneering Ruggles, McCall, and Arms families, Linda was proud of her heritage and deeply rooted in the community. She graduated from Milford High School in 1963, and after earning her State license as a realtor, she pursued a remarkable career as a Master Electrician and Contractor. Through an apprenticeship with General Motors and completing numerous technical college courses, Linda achieved this distinction in three different states and became a respected member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Linda’s passion for Milford’s history and her commitment to preserving it were evident in her involvement with several local organizations. She was an active member of the Milford, Highland, and Holly Historical Societies and contributed significantly to projects such as the Power Station Restoration. She also dedicated 20 years of service as President of the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund, stepping down in 2024 after years of tireless effort to maintain and improve this cherished local landmark.

A proud member of the Grand River Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Linda served as Regent from 2007 to 2010. Her dedication to the community did not go unnoticed, as she was honored by the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce as Citizen of the Year in 2012 for her work on behalf of Oak Grove Cemetery and Milford’s history.

Linda’s strength, independence, and unwavering loyalty were constants in her life. She gave generously of her time, energy, and love to her family, friends, and the community she cared for so deeply. Those who knew her will remember her for her kindness, her dedication to causes she believed in, and her ability to bring people together.

Linda’s motto, which guided her throughout her life, was: “Do what you love, and give all you can.” She lived by these words, and her impact on Milford and beyond will be felt for generations to come.

I Never give up. I may cry for a second, but I am a Warrior and I will always get back up to Fight.

Rest now, ’till we meet again. Blessed be.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the summer of 2025
